Okay so some back history to my brother. Zachery is one of the 7 brothers and sisters I have, he’s 15 years old and was born with spina bifida He has had some pressure sores over the past year or so that he’s been dealing with that relate to when the body can’t move around, circulation ect. So this recent one he had has gotten quite bad so they were going to go in and do surgery to remove some dead cells ect. While they were in there they discovered that it was affecting the bone. To the point where they would need to potentially remove it. I found all this out around 11pm last night.
It’s been very hard for me because I love him so much and I want to see good things for him and for him to be okay. And now there’s this.
I talked to my dad briefly on my way into work, he said that they decided they would only need to remove a portion of the femur and not the entire thing.
I went into work, and god I found out how hard it is to have an emotional thing going on that’s really. I told my one manager about it and she was very understanding of the whole thing and assisted me to get out a lot earlier than need be and got my shift covered tonight. So that’s the update of where everything is at now, I’m going to go see him in a little bit at the hospital and try to make him feel better.
